ROCKWOOL HARDROCK® Multi-Fix (DD) roofing boards comply with the requirements of BS EN 13162, ‘Thermal insulation products for buildings, factory made mineral wool (MW) products specification.’

What is the purpose of the dual-density construction?
The denser upper layer provides a robust surface for roofing works and maintenance, while the lower layer contributes thermal and acoustic performance. The board has published compressive strength and point-load values that must be considered with the intended roof use.
Which waterproofing systems can be used?
ROCKWOOL lists fully or partially bonded and mechanically fastened single-ply and EPDM systems, bituminous and mastic-asphalt systems, liquid waterproofing and green roofs. BBA approval is subject to use with a waterproofing system having suitable current certification.
What is the reaction-to-fire classification?
HARDROCK Multi-Fix DD is classified Euroclass A2-s1,d0 under EN 13501-1. Fire performance of the completed roof still depends on the full deck, vapour control, insulation, attachment and waterproofing assembly.
Is it suitable for regular maintenance access?
ROCKWOOL identifies the board for areas subject to pedestrian traffic and frequent maintenance. The completed waterproofing may still require walkways or protection, and plant or concentrated loads need separate structural and load-distribution design.
What acoustic benefit does it provide?
Stone wool can improve rain-noise and airborne-sound performance within tested roof assemblies. A specific dB result should only be quoted where it corresponds to the complete proposed construction and test report.
